Weather Together Baby Shower Card for WWYS #111

Hello and welcome to this week’s WWYS Challenge. This week we’ve been challenged to use the Weather Together stamp set. I needed a card for my niece’s baby shower, and the umbrella was perfect! Here’s my card:

As we already know that the baby is a girl, I went for shades of pink and also added green. I started by stamping some clouds on the Whisper White panel and then added some clouds die-cut from Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper which I had sponged in a couple of shades of pink and using the co-ordinating Umbrella Weather Framelits Dies. I then stamped the umbrella handle in Pear Pizzazz ink at the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock panel and topped it with a die-cut umbrella (from Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper) and a scalloped trim from Blushing Bride cardstock. The tiny hearts were die-cut from the Umbrella Weather  dies in Blushing Bride and Real Red, and I also used some sweetheart-shaped hearts (the fatter ones) that I had in my stash. Some were glued and others were elevated using rolled up Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment is from the now retired Moon Baby Stamp Set from the recent Occasions Catalogue. It was white heat embossed on Pear Pizzazz cardstock and along with the umbrella, popped up with dimensionals. The finished touch was a coating of clear Wink of Stella on the hearts, followed by a layer of gloss using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Moon Baby Shower Invitations for WWYS #103

Hello and welcome to this week’s WWYS Challenge. This week we are using the super cute Moon Baby stamp set.  As fate would have it, I was fortunate enough to be asked to make a bunch of baby shower invitations for my niece! I took my inspiration for this project from the Pretty Pocket Card Kit in the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Item #143832 Pretty Pocket Card Kit. You can choose this product free when you spend $90 on product from the current catalogues.

I made my pockets from Melon Mambo and die-cut the opening for the sentiment with a die from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits Dies.

The invitations were printed on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and then the sides snipped off. I left room at the top to stamp the sentiment from the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set in Melon Mambo ink. I attached some Melon Mambo 3.2mm Stitched Ribbon through the tag section and adhered a small piece of magnetic strip on the back.

For the adorable babies, I first stamped the image in Archival Basic Gray onto the front of the pocket, and then again on Whisper White. I watercoloured the umbrella and baby, fussy cut them and popped them up on the pocket with dimensionals. I also added some Clear Wink of Stella to the umbrella and the baby’s onesie. The final touch was a dollop of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details at the top of the umbrella.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. If you’ve left me a comment, thank you! You’ve made my day. Be sure to hop on over to the WWYS blog to see what everyone else has made and enter your own project. You could be our next guest designer!

We are each CASEing (Copying and Selectively Editing) one of Cindy’s designs today. I chose the trio of cards below. I love how Cindy has showcased Stampin’ Up!’s gorgeous Designer Series Paper, and these are just so sweet with their ribbons, trims and doilies backing the focal image.

For my notecard sized trio I used a Hostess set and DSP from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalogue – Iconic Occasions Stamp Set and Party Animal DSP. I’ve also highlighted the Stitched Shapes Framelits which have been released ahead of next year’s Annual Catalogue and only available until November 30, so you have only 4 days left to grab them!

Iconic Occasions Stamp Set comes with 10 cute little images and coordinating sentiments for different occasions. I also decorated the envelope flaps with the matching DSP for each card.

My first card features the 2015-2017 In Colour Doilies. You can use the reverse side like I’ve done here if you want a white one. I’ve also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Circles Framelits.

For this card I’ve used a few different images and circled the “correct” one in red. You could make a card with all 10 images and circle the one that matches the sentiment you use – such a fun set! This card also uses the Delicate White Doilies and some Mint Macaron ribbon from the trio pack in the Holiday Catalogue.

For card #3 I’ve stamped the bandaid image onto the spotted DSP and used some Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon and some of the matching metallic thread from the Holiday Catalogue. So lush – I love these!

The products from the new Occasions Catalogue will be available to order from January 4, 2017. If you can’t wait that long, you can join, purchase them on December 1, and get 20% discount.

To continue along the hop, select the person next on the list after me, Gail Davidson, to see all the gorgeous creations from Amy and the rest of the Crazy Crafters. But before you go, if you like my design, I’d love it if you could take the time to leave a comment to let me know!
