Sending Thoughts Card

Hello and welcome! Today, we are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that here. Our theme for this highlight is Get Well soon – What a wonderful way to cheer someone up when they are feeling down.

I’m using the Sending Thoughts Stamp set and some of the beautiful Designer Series Paper called Succulent Garden from the Occasions Catalogue. The sentiment was framed using a couple of the dies from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. And, as you can see I’ve used the DSP to decorate the envelope and the inside of the card as well. It’s just so gorgeous, I couldn’t just stop at the card front!

Update 24 Feb 2017: I have added this card to this week’s Crazy Crafters Highlights. If you’d like to vote for my card, click here. Voting begins at 6:00pm AEST (7:00pm Daylight Saving Time). Note: voting has closed for the International Highlights, but you can still vote for me in this week’s Crazy Crafters (team) Highlights until Thursday 2 March 2017.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. If you’ve left me a comment, thank you! You’ve made my day. Make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog by clicking on the button below to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.

Crazy Crafters’ Blog Hop with Special Guest Cindy Schuster

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters’ Blog Hop with special guest Cindy Schuster. Cindy is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from  Georgia, USA and a current Artisan Team Member. And it’s clear to see why Cindy was chosen to be an Artisan – her designs are unique and beautiful. Our team is very excited to be hopping with her today. You can check out Cindy’s blog by clicking on her picture.

We are each CASEing (Copying and Selectively Editing) one of Cindy’s designs today. I chose the trio of cards below. I love how Cindy has showcased Stampin’ Up!’s gorgeous Designer Series Paper, and these are just so sweet with their ribbons, trims and doilies backing the focal image.

For my notecard sized trio I used a Hostess set and DSP from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalogue – Iconic Occasions Stamp Set and Party Animal DSP. I’ve also highlighted the Stitched Shapes Framelits which have been released ahead of next year’s Annual Catalogue and only available until November 30, so you have only 4 days left to grab them!

Iconic Occasions Stamp Set comes with 10 cute little images and coordinating sentiments for different occasions. I also decorated the envelope flaps with the matching DSP for each card.

My first card features the 2015-2017 In Colour Doilies. You can use the reverse side like I’ve done here if you want a white one. I’ve also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Circles Framelits.

For this card I’ve used a few different images and circled the “correct” one in red. You could make a card with all 10 images and circle the one that matches the sentiment you use – such a fun set! This card also uses the Delicate White Doilies and some Mint Macaron ribbon from the trio pack in the Holiday Catalogue.

For card #3 I’ve stamped the bandaid image onto the spotted DSP and used some Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon and some of the matching metallic thread from the Holiday Catalogue. So lush – I love these!

The products from the new Occasions Catalogue will be available to order from January 4, 2017. If you can’t wait that long, you can join, purchase them on December 1, and get 20% discount.

To continue along the hop, select the person next on the list after me, Gail Davidson, to see all the gorgeous creations from Amy and the rest of the Crazy Crafters. But before you go, if you like my design, I’d love it if you could take the time to leave a comment to let me know!

UPDATE: These cards have been highlighted in the Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights over on the lovely Kylie Bertucci’s blog. To see what the team’s been up to and vote for your top 3 picks, click here!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Cookie Cutter Halloween for WWYS #86

This week at What Will You Stamp? we’re playing with the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set. I’ve used the cute “cookie mummy” to make a get well card. When you’re sick, things seem to be out of kilter, so I carried that theme through when I designed this card. The panels are skewed and oddly shaped, and the focal image is at an angle too.

I’ve paired the cute image with the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

TIP: To add interest, try cutting a paper panel into an unusual shape – I’ve used a rhombus shape here for the black panel.

The sentiments come from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. Here’s all the images in the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set:

86-cookie-cutter-halloween   And here’s the inside of my card:

Those little hearts come from the Owl Builder Punch – so cute!

TIP: I love to emboss my sentiments. Did you know you can use any colour ink with clear embossing powder to give a shiny, raised look?

If you like this colour combination, please feel free to save and share it.  You can find more inspiration on my Pinterest Colour Inspiration Board.

Remember to hop over to the WWYS challenge blog to play along, and to check out what the rest of the Design Team and players have come up with. Do you like the project I have made today? If you live in Australia, you can shop in my online store and purchase all the products you need to make it.

Thanks for stopping by today. Portrait w text You Can Make It
