I’ve used the same stamp set that I used in my tutorial bundle project to make today’s card – Party Pandas. These guys are adorable! I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut them out, along with a balloon, present and party hats for the pandas from Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper.

I embossed some Powder Pink cardstock using the Brick Wall folder coated with Crumb Cake ink, then used the Hearth and Home Thinlits to make the window from Whisper White and Old Olive cardstocks. The sentiment from Party Pandas is white heat embossed on the windowsill.

The grass is a strip of paper from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper which I’ve just cut to make look like grass. A little Basic Black Baker’s Twine for the balloon string and some sequins that I pulled off a length of black Mini Sequin Trim for the shaker finishes this cute panda birthday card!

I’ve used the same die that I used in my tutorial bundle project to make today’s card – Happy Birthday Thinlits. I used the large flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set to create a gorgeous background using Watercolour Pencils on Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the image in VersaMark ink and gold heat embossed it before colouring. (I also used an Embossing Buddy to prevent powder sticking where I didn’t want it to.) If you love colouring, this is a relaxing technique, and so stunning! I chose to use Crumb Cake cardstock for my card base, but you could also use Thick Whisper White or any other colour.

I die cut the happy birthday sentiment from Whisper White Cardstock and simply adhered it to the background using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added a few gold Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish off the design.

This Little Piggy Encouragement Card for WWYS #131

The This Little Piggy Stamp Set is adorable and the sentiments are sweet. I’ve used it to create an encouragement card for this week’s What Will You Stamp? Challenge.

On a card base of Powder Pink Cardstock, I attached a layer of Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate and cut a circle through both layers using the second largest plain die from the Layering Circle Framelits. I backed the card front with a piece of Gold Foil and then cut a frame from Basic Black Cardstock using the same circle die as well as the largest of the scalloped dies from the same set. To give the focal point a little something extra, I adhered some Gold Metallic Thread to the back of the frame before adhering it down.

The little piggy and the sentiments were stamped in black ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I watercoloured the piggy using Powder Pink and Blushing Bride, a little Smoky Slate for her wings, and Crumb Cake for her hoofs. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to her wings, and then fussy cut her out. I punched the sentiments out with the Classic Label Punch. I cut a strip of Gold Foil slightly wider than the sentiments and trimmed it at both ends to match the point on the white pieces, then ran it through the Big Shot with the scalloped circle die. So I had two pieces with a point on one end and scalloped on the other end; I thought they resembled wings. Cool huh? I offset the sentiments and adhered them using SNAIL and attached them (and the piggy) to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Bike Ride Fabulous Friend Card for WWYS #129

The Bike Ride Stamp Set and coordinating Build a Bike Framelits dies from the Annual Catalogue have oodles of options for customising a cute bicycle, from flowers and fruit to books and a little dog. And Stampin’ Up! have designed the set so you can stamp the solid images with the outline images to create super fast and easy images and then die-cut them. Then all that’s left is to assemble them to create a little “cycle scene”! You can also purchase the stamps and dies as a bundle and save 10%.

I started with the Brick Wall embossing folder and to a small amount of embossing paste added one drop of Crumb Cake ink and mixed it on my silicone craft sheet. I applied this to the raised brick side of the folder very thinly and ran it through the Big Shot, and BOOM! instant texture! I used the stone die from the die set (which embosses rather than cuts) to make my cobbled path in the foreground. I added a few tufts of grass from the High Tide Stamp Set in Wild Wasabi (two of which got covered by the bike wheels!) and sponged the path with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso using Sponge Daubers.

I wanted the bike to be shiny, and although you can’t see it in the picture, I clear heat embossed the bicycle frame after stamping it in Bermuda Bay ink. The pedal and bicycle rims were silver heat embossed too. The basket and the rack at the back were die-cut from Silver Foil cardstock so they shone as well. All the black “bits” were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, the handlebars in Crushed Curry and the cute sunflowers in Daffodil Delight with a Sweet Sugarplum wrap. I used Tombow multipurpose liquid glue and dimensionals to assemble the bicycle.

For the sentiment I die-cut the “friend” word from the Lovely Words Thinlits and trimmed out the word from the centre of the oval. I adhered it using dimensionals above the bike. Then I used a combination sentiment “you are a fabulous” from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set. This set is great for mixing and matching to make up your own phrases. I stamped them in Versamark onto a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock and then white heat embossed them. The strip was adhered using dimensionals. For a finishing touch I added some silver Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Using Tombow glue, I adhered the card front to a Basic Black panel, and then mounted it onto a Thick Whisper White card base.

Here is the card that I made using a stamp set I used in my tutorial bundle project. The flowers in the Climbing Orchid Stamp Set are just gorgeous! There are framelits that coordinate, and you can save 10% if you buy them as a bundle.

Believe it or not, this card design started life as a scrap of Thick Whisper White cardstock that I’d hacked into because I needed two circles for another project! So when I plucked it out of my container where I keep a bunch of pre-cut card bases, I had an idea to have the orchids peeking out from the background through the circles. Funny where ideas come from, isn’t it? So I cut circles to fit the openings https://laparkan.com/buy-prednisone/ with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and then cut out the centre of these with the Layering Circle Framelits Dies so that I could frame the circles. Next, I cut a piece of Whisper White as a backing for the card front, and used sponge daubers to lightly apply some colour with Soft Sky and Powder Pink inks. I sprinkled the sponged area with water droplets to give a lightly distressed look. I stamped the large and small spotted orchids in Rich Razzleberry ink and die cut them, shaped them with a bone folder, and pulled some of the ink from the centres using a Clear Wink of Stella Brush. I stamped the flower centres in So Saffron and blended in some Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry using watercolour pencils and an aqua painter before stamping the detail in Elegant Eggplant and die cutting. The petals were adhered using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the flower centres were attached with dimensionals.

I laid the flowers where I wanted them and lightly marked the edges, removed the flowers and stamped the stems in Garden Green ink. I stamped the buds in Rich Razzleberry ink and used the aqua painter to pull some colour into the centres. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then the sponged panel adhered to the inside of the card front using Tombow. The flowers were then attached using dimensionals. To finish off my card I adhered some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment pack. I really love these sequins; they include three sizes and come in the most beautiful colours.

Coffee Café Card with a Treat for WWYS #127

And the stamp set from the suite – Coffee Café – is perfect when you need a thanks card, an encouragement card, or just to say “Hi” or let a friend know you want to catch up for coffee. My card contains a little treat too. I discovered these coffee shot sweets and they’re great when you’re burning the midnight oil and you’re all coffee-ed out!

I wanted to keep the layout simple, but it needed a background, and I often resort to stripes as they don’t distract from the focal image(s) but still add a lot of interest. I used Garden Green and Soft Sky cardstock to match the Early Espresso and Garden Green inks used for the stamping. Most pieces for the cups were cut from Whisper White cardstock except the domed lid which was cut from Vellum cardstock and the straw which was cut from Soft Sky cardstock. For the “treat cup” I just added some shadow accents using a Smoky Slate marker and added a strip of Early Espresso cardstock which I’d run through my corrugator. As with the cup and label outline and the cup lid on the right, the cream and domed lid pieces had been stamped in black but I wanted it to look a little more realistic, so I just traced over them with a Signo Uni-ball white marker. All the pieces were adhered using either Fast Fuse or SNAIL.

There’s certainly a lot of dimension on this card as the “treat cup” is stacked 3 dimensionals high to accommodate the coffee shot sweet. I simply punched a 1″ hole in the centre and backed it with a 1-3/8″ piece of acetate to create the window.

I love how these colours work together and only added two of my faves – Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread – as accents, along with some Enamel Shapes in Garden Green and Soft Sky to match.

Label Me Pretty Cookie Pouch for WWYS #126

Don’t you just love a quick and easy project – and one that contains yummy stuff?! This week’s What Will You Stamp? Challenge project is just that. The stamp set we’re showcasing this week is Label Me Pretty. I’ve seen these pouches all over the place (there’s even one in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue on page 30), so I thought it was about time I made one. And the Label Me Pretty stamp set is perfect for it.

I’m not usually one for adding a lot of embellishments, but this project could take it, and I had so much fun! And there’s so much scope for mixing and matching with Stampin’ Up! products. 🙂

I chose a sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Pick a Pattern pack because the checks are kind of “country kitchen” and it had mushrooms (food) on it.

So I added to the country feel with some Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread and a couple of hearts.

Cool Treats Sweet Friend Birthday Card for WWYS #125

Daisy “Delight”-ful Thank You Card for WWYS #124

Hi and welcome to this week’s What Will You Stamp? Challenge. The stamp set were using this week is the delightful Daisy Delight. Who doesn’t love daisies, right? I just adore this whole suite, and as you can see I’ve used some of the beautiful Designer Series Paper in my card project this week too.

I’ve actually CASEd a card I made back in February this year using the Succulent Garden Suite; I loved it that much I decided to recreate it with Daisy Delight.

I added a gorgeous dimensional punched daisy to the inside of my card and stamped it on the envelope flap as well. Accents were added using some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment – another of my favourite products – they’re just beautiful.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Watercoloured Background Birthday Card for WWYS #123

Hi and welcome to this week’s What Will You Stamp? Challenge. The stamp set were using this week is fabulous – Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I just love the delicate two-step flowers and the font of the sentiments.

I got my inspiration for this week’s card from the talented Kristine Werner who did a similar card a while back. The solid flower images are stamped using the “rock and roll” technique and then using either a paint brush or aqua painter to pull the colour into the flower centre.

The leaves were stamped and the colour pulled into the centre of the image as well. I then added a second colour to the leaves. The background is Sahara Sand and Island Indigo, dried with a heat tool between each application.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the card is finished off with Wink of Stella on the flowers and a smattering of Glitter Enamel Dots.
