You’ve Got This Card for WWYS #67

This week’s WWYS Challenge is to use the You’ve Got This Stamp Set.  I love the sentiments and images in this set.  They’re perfect to give to someone who’s going through a rough patch.  To see what the rest of the Design Team have come up with, and maybe have a go and enter a project too, hop on over to the WWYS Challenge Blog site.

Here’s a visual of the stamp set:

Remarkable You Card for GDP008

posted in: Cards | 4

I didn’t think I was going to make the deadline for this week’s Global Design Project challenge. Phew! This week is CASE the designer week – with a twist. As you know, CASE means copy and share everything, but this week’s challenge is a little different. Kylie has challenged us to Copy And Selectively Edit.  The two elements that I chose to “selectively edit” are the colours and the floral focal image.

Here is Kylie’s card:

And here’s my interpretation:

I stamped the beautiful flower from the Remarkable You stamp set in Versamark ink, embossed it with Cherry Cobbler and then finished with some naive watercolouring in Cherry Cobbler.  I masked the flower and then stamped the background cross-hatch image from the You’ve Got This stamp set in Crushed Curry (stamped off).

The sentiment, stamped in Tip Top Taupe ink also comes from the Remarkable You stamp set. I finished the card off with a Very Vanilla banner layered with Cherry Cobbler cardstock which was then lifted up with dimensionals.  The panel was layered onto Tip Top Taupe, and then onto a Very Vanilla card base.

The inside was finished with a simple, stamped off flower.  Do you like it?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  I’d love to hear what you think.

Click on the GDP image above to have a look at the other designers’ takes on this week’s challenge as well as all the participants’ entries on the Global Design Project website.

Thanks again to the GDP for hosting the challenge and to you for stopping by.
